This is the 4th time I've pulled this card in 3 weeks.
.
What came to me this time was, if we can see a rainbow and feel love, joy, and connection, is the inverse true?
.
Can concentrating on feeling love and connection bring more rainbows into being?
Can we hold a feeling so clearly that we can bring the physical manifestation of that feeling into existence?
And can we let love drive our powers of manifestation rather that greed?
Can we pair manifestation and mundane work to create systems of compassion and equality?
.
I believe that we can do all of this, and that this is pretty much the point of life as far as I can understand and articulate it right now.
.
(Posting suuuuper late in the day, but I hope this is a nice nightcap.)
Daily Tarot: 10 of Cups
Today we see that we are capable of holding all kinds of feelings at once.
Our capacity to feel and sense is increasing, so we can better show up for ourselves and our fellow humans.
.
What this means in terms of daily life is that we are feeling a lot today, but we can handle all of it. We're feeling a wide spectrum of emotions: joy, compassion, grief, hope, anger, love, fear. The clouds and the rainbow. And we're feeling both our own stuff and some of the big overarching world energies. Each feeling has its own unique texture, so as they're shifting in and out of each other they remain distinct. Not one of those feelings-soup days where we don't even know what we're feeling.
.
The invitation here is to feel whatever we feel, and come to it with curiosity. Allow your sense of wonder to lead the way. Life is bringing us this huge spectrum of experience and it's pretty cool that we can feel it all.
.
If this becomes too much, get grounded by paying attention to your body. This brings you into your own space and turns down the volume on what you're picking up from the collective. Even beauty and wonder and connection can get overwhelming, so please take care of yourself.
Daily Tarot: 10 of Cups
I passed this cute little "team fun" graffiti, and thought, how can we have some fun today? And pulled this sweet card. Sweet but also like the universe saying, very kindly, "duh."
There's always fun to be had if we're there to have it, you know? If we ask, we'll find it.
And this is also an invitation to find fun with other people, participate in a group experience of joy. I'm glad I get to spend a lot of time with friends today. I hope you do, too. Or just get outside in public and enjoy the day in the presence of your fellow humans.
.
Thank you for all of your love and support for my last post about my mom. It really means a lot to me. 💖
Daily Tarot: 10 of Cups
How can we be happy right now, where we are, just as we are? The invitation of this card is to check in with your deep feelings of love and connection. They are always accessible.
Sometimes it takes a catalyst to remind us of this deep love, and show us what we really value and believe. The 10 of Cups is in the middle of a storm, but appreciating the rainbow. This definitely feels relevant in light of the last few days. We're renewing out commitment to care for each other in the face of hate and bigotry. We're the rainbow.
This moment of connection and love is where that fast-moving 8 of Wands energy has brought us. The journey continues, but this is a very welcome rest and recharge.
Tiny Perfect Things
Happy Sunday from Seattle!
The sounds of birds and church bells are all around our little Airbnb.
The 10 of Cups invites us to look up and see beautiful, wonder-full parts of the present moment. Right now, not an hour ago when the light was better or in 5 minutes after you've done the dishes. There is something perfect and mundane waiting for your gratitude right now, so thank the first thing that comes to mind. (Thank you, slatted light on this formica tabletop.)
The High Priestess reminds us that we connect with the deep mysteries of life as we connect with the minutiae of this moment. Presence and gratitude are the simplest and greatest spiritual practices.
What tiny perfect thing are you grateful for right now?
