For most people, receiving is HARD. We are so so so conditioned to be tough, structured, analytical, controlling. There's a huge imbalance in our culture, where we privilege the masculine/active and denigrate the feminine/receptive. Here I mean the energy, not necessarily female-bodied or male-bodied people, though because of the privileging of masculine energy, male bodies and "male" behaviors are also deemed more acceptable. (Even thinking of sex and gender as either/or is a patriarchal way of seeing.) This is a dimensional shift that's started (praise goddess), and it feels like it's speeding up.

The Empress says it's time to open to the divine feminine, on the individual and collective levels.

So for today:
Where can you receive love?
Where can you appreciate beauty?
Where can you create?

Where you find yourself trying to be tough, explore being soft instead. The more you can be gentle with yourself and open to receive, the more you'll be aligned with Empress energy, and the more you'll be able to create and heal.

I'm also thinking of The Tower today, and the image of the Emperor and Empress falling. The Emperor gives structure to the free-flowing Empress energy, and together they can build something. But when what they've built no longer serves, and is broken apart, the energy holding the Tower together is released. That energy is then available for us to work with again.

My greatest hope for this world is that as we dissolve the structures of separation and oppression, that we free up more of the Empress energy. That we can reconnect to softness and beauty and nature, that we can re-create our world so that all beings are safe and free.
